  Every facet of our network infrastructure scales to gigabit speeds with no single point of failure.   We have more bandwidth available to us than 99.4% of all hosting companies.   Enterprise firewall and anti-virus protection is included with every server along with additional security via in-line intrusion protection systems for all servers.
  
  
• Security
  Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) are devices used to protect the internal network from all forms of attacks.   They watch all network data to detect and block exploits, attacks, reconnaissance attempts and other unwanted traffic.   These devices dig deep into the network packets to ensure no unwanted traffic is making its way from the Internet to your servers.
  
  
• Enterprise and Private Firewalls
  Our edge layer firewalls are what protect our internal network from the public internet.   At this layer the firewalls are statefully watching all packets coming into and out of our network.   We use these firewalls to block based on source/destination IP address or source/destination ports.   These firewalls can also be used to protect against some Layer 7 (application layer) attacks and denial of service attacks.
  
  
• Servers
  We start with Genuine Dell Business Class Servers with multiple Quad Core Xeon processors with a minimum of 32gb of memory and local 10K SAS drives.   Our servers are then configured in a highly available clustered server architecture with high-speed SAN storage for additional redundancy.   All database storage is Microsoft SQL Server 2008, also with redundancy.
  
  The engine that drives our architecture is the latest 64-bit Server OS available; Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V technology.   This cutting edge operating system delivers not only the latest security and performance benefits, but also allows us to utilize cutting edge multimedia delivery technologies such as bit-rate throttling.
